About PSA

Pasadena Society of Artists (PSA) is a society of professional artists, founded in 1925 in Pasadena, California. PSA has grown from 15 original members to more than 140 members in 2008. PSA has presented exhibitions at local museums, galleries and participated in several international exhibitions. Many PSA members are internationally recognized artists with artworks in museums and private collections around the globe.

PSA has a long tradition of community participation. PSA is a sponsor of the annual Pasadena Playhouse ARTWalk, and is partnering with AIDS Service Center in 2009 to help raise funds for ASC’s humanitarian efforts. PSA participates in live demonstrations, art studio tours and has partnered with local educational institutions and museums, enhancing public awareness of art and how it enriches our lives.

PSA members are juried into the society. PSA hosts new membership screenings twice a year (check our website for details). A PSA jury reviews each applicant’s portfolio and resume of professional experience to determine eligibility for membership.
