“Simply Watercolor”
2006 Annual Juried Membership Exhibit
March 29 – April 15, 2006
Watercolor – it’s luminous, dramatic, lively, fresh, exciting, unpredictable, expressive, bright, warm, cheerful, bold, and totally captivating. The Valley Watercolor Society 2006 exhibit, Simply Watercolor, promises to be an impressive show. Over forty artists will be represented. All eighty-seven paintings on display, whether executed in a realistic or abstract style, whether traditional or experimental watercolor, are original works of art; many are for sale. Join us at the reception on April 2nd to meet the artists. We promise you will be entertained.
The Juror for this event, Gerald Brommer, is completely involved in art as an innovative watercolor and acrylic painter, collagist, teacher, author and juror. He has written and edited over 35 art books, many of which are used as texts in art schools and colleges, and has created twelve instructional video tapes. “Jerry” has won awards in most national competitive watercolor shows and has had over 165 one-man shows. His paintings are in over 4200 private and corporate collections in 44 states and 8 countries overseas, and are currently shown in four galleries in California, and one each in South Carolina, Florida and London. His work and articles have appeared in countless books and national and international magazines. Jerry is a Life Member and Past President of the National Watercolor Society.
