9th Annual VIVA Show

Sites & Insights

Wednesday, August 29 – Saturday, September 15, 2007
Opening Reception: Sunday, September 9, 2007, 2–5 pm
Afro-Cuban music by Chango’s Revenge

A group show featuring the works of 14 Artist Co-op 7 members, “Sites & Insights” explores the theme of buildings, interiors and landscapes with structures. Artist Co-op 7 has always been a group of individualists, creating works that blend realism and abstraction to make powerful comments on the wonders and contradictions of the world around us.

Celebrating eighteen years in Los Angeles, Artist Co-op 7 is recognized for the exploration of painting as a creative medium and educational process. Bringing together artists working in drawing, watercolors, acrylic and oil, the group captures the minds and hearts of the viewer with unforgettable color and form.

“Site & Insights” marks the 9th year collaboration between Artist Co-op 7 and VIVA Art Center.

We hope you will join us at the Opening Reception on Sunday, September 9, 2–5pm.
