About the Juror

Franklyn Liegel received his MFA from Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles in 1979 and has lived, worked and taught here ever since. Liegel’s work and exhibitions have been covered extensively in local news and art media. His art has been seen in more than 30 solo and group shows from Los Angeles to New York, and to Germany, Asia, and Morrocco. Liegel is a popular instructor at two well-known Los Angeles area art schools.

About CAA

Collage Artists of America (CAA) was founded in 1988 by nine Los Angeles-area women proficient in a variety of media who sought to expand their creativity to encompass collage and assemblage. Membership has grown to over 150 members across the United States and Canada. Many members have been instructors at all levels of education and exhibit widely both nationally and internationally.

Meetings are held nine times a year and include programs presented by artists renowned for their work in collage and assemblage.
